Funderingar / Reflections

I går var jag på konsert och hörde då flera talangfulla unga singer-songwriters. Det fick mig att börja undra var jag hade varit i dag, om jag hade fått chansen att utveckla mig i den riktningen musikaliskt när jag var yngre. Men vad jag förstod på mina underbara Kretakursledare, har jag utvecklats nu och fortsätter att utvecklas, även om jag närmar mig 40 år... Har börjat så smått att skriva en låt om detta.
Sedan har jag ytterligare funderingar, som jag är nyfiken på era kommentarer om. Så om ni som läser detta kunde besvara de här frågorna genom en kommentar till det här inlägget blir jag glad!
1. Hur skulle du beskriva min musik (stil / genre, influenser och sådant) för någon som aldrig hört den? (Se http://www.mariannem.se/songs.html för exempel)
2. Nämn två-tre låtar, antingen från min hemsida, mina tidigare demos (om du har dem och det är någon låt därifrån du vill att jag gör en nyinspelning av) eller av vad du hört live, som du
vill att jag tar med på en kommande ny demo?

I övrigt jobbar jag på några nya låtar, och skall snart börja öva med två nyfunna musikervänner som jag skall bilda trio med. I augusti blir det sångkurs på Ljusterö, och i september blir det konsert med stråkorkestern i min gamla hemstad, och sannolikt också en återföreningskonsert med Kretakursen.

Yesterday I went to a concert and then heard several talented young singer-songwriters. That made me start to wonder where I would have been today, if I had got the chance to evolve in that direction musically when I was younger. But from what I understood from my wonderful Crete course leaders, I've evolved now and am continuing to evolve, even though I'm approaching 40 years old... I've loosely started to write a song about this.
Then I have some other ponderings, on which I'm curious about your comments. So if you who read this could answer these questions by a comment to this post, I'll be happy!
1. How would you describe my music (style / genre, influences and such) to someone who has never heard it? (See http://www.mariannem.se/songs.html for more samples)
2. Name two-three songs, either from my site, my previous demos (if you have them and there's a song from there you'd like me to re-record) or from what you've heard live, that you'd like me to include in a forthcoming new demo?

Other than that, I'm working on some new songs, and am soon going to start to practise with two newly found musical friends with whom I'm forming a trio. In August there'll be a singing course in Ljusterö, and in September there'll be a concert with the string orchestra in my old home town and likely also a reunion concert with the Crete course.
